Nice parhelion, Nick. I like the stark silhouettes of the buildings and the wires - makes for an interesting picture! Did the parhelion actually form in the contrail?
Not sure, there was a large extensive cirrostratus above me today, didn't see any contrails, but they could have spread out. They could have been what form the cloud!
There appears to be several old contrails in the image including one possibly running right through the parhelion. It's always difficult making the connection though.

ReplyDeleteYeah, your right. You can't really tell if the contrail is in the cloud or above it, or maybe even below it.
