22 degree halo.

Almost seems like there is odd radius halos, but when
I edit the image I don't see anything.

  1. This happens to me quite frequently, particularly when the cirrostratus layer is very thick. It's interesting that the presence of contrails also seems to heighten this illusion. However, running the image through an emboss filter reveals an interesting ring the same size as the sun. I presume this is some internal lens reflection. I'll e-mail it to you.

  2. I have a new idea. Maybe overlapping any possible images of odd radii halos, with defined odd radii halos can help with identification. It could be accurately done by aligning the 22 degree halo. I'll have to try this.
